When revising your paper, ask yourself the following questions and adjust accordingly:
- What type of paper am I trying to write? (Narrative, Description, etc) Does my paper have the needed characteristics for that type of writing?
- Are my sentences complete?
- Does my story/paper make sense?
- Did I capitalize everything correctly?
- Did I punctuate everything correctly?
- Did I use enough detail?
- What is my purpose? Do I fulfill that purpose?
- Do I include enough support for my point or thesis?
- Do I give enough background information for my reader to know WHY I am talking about what I am talking about?
- Do I have a sense of closure to my writing or does it just stop?
- Are things spelled correctly?
- Is my paper typed neatly?
- Do I use a readable font?
- Is my name, class information, etc on it?
- Do I have a proper title?
- Is my grammar ok?
